A bit of Poissy (Yvelines) in recent Google or Dior advertisements?
It is not a question of the Notre-Dame collegiate church as a filming location or of a little-known anecdote about the childhood of Natalie Portman, but of a resident of the town of Yvelines who has recently stood out in the world of production in Los Angeles.
Juliette Poirier, 28 years old and recently an audiovisual producer after something clicked during the pandemic, is adapting to her new life between the Paris region and California.
Juliette did not want to “regret not having tried new things”.
It was these life-saving encounters and the existential reflections of confinement that pushed her onto the film sets.
She never left them again.
In 2021, four years after finishing her studies, she left her job in logistics and flew, without guarantee or network, to Los Angeles and the University of California.
She plans to learn cinema there.
“In logistics, I really liked managing flows and budgets… But I lacked a bit of fun, a little artistic side,” she remembers.
