The GNTM candidates are allowed to run their first fashion show.
This is a great honor for the participants in Heidi Klum's casting show - but the walk doesn't go smoothly for everyone.
Berlin – The “Germany’s Next Top Model” candidates are allowed to strut along their first catwalk in front of head judge Heidi Klum (50), star designer Jean Paul Gaultier (71) and a number of influencers.
But some of the model newcomers have problems with their clothing: the shoes don't fit properly, the train is too long or the material isn't exactly tear-proof - like show candidate Lucas (24), who can't handle his pants.

The modeling job is not always easy: This is shown again and again on “Germany’s Next Top Model”.
Recently, model mom Heidi Klum had to lend her shoes to a GNTM applicant because she couldn't walk in the high heels she had brought with her and stumbled on the catwalk.
But this problem doesn't just affect the female participants: men aren't always lucky with their clothes either - like candidate Lucas, for example.

The former “Cologne 50667” actor is allowed to present a glittering gold two-piece by Berlin designer Jasmin Erbas on the catwalk.
Right before his walk he doesn't feel completely comfortable: “I have a stone under my shoe, a sharp one.
But whatever, I'll cover it up. Now I'm excited."
But it's not just the stone that's bothering him, his outfit doesn't quite fit him either.
“I had a lot of gold rhinestones on it and it was actually made of metal, which was very heavy.
And I think that was the worst feeling I've ever had because I noticed that my material was unraveling and my train on my foot was getting wider and wider.
Then I’m out and…” – he stumbles over the steps onto the catwalk in front of head judge Heidi Klum and designer Jean Paul Gaultier.

Before the fashion show starts, Heidi Klum makes a big announcement: “We still have two special places available.
You can close the show, Felix.
And Pitzi gets to open the show.” But it wasn’t the model mom who made this decision, but rather Jean Paul Gaultier himself.
Being chosen by the star designer is “indescribable” for Felix.
Still highly praised here - but now gone: Pitzi Müller caused a stir even before the first episode was broadcast.
The candidate left GNTM and shot against Heidi Klum.

There is a reason why Lucas couldn't climb the steps, he says: "But I couldn't bend my leg because the metal prevented me - then I would have torn the entire outfit apart."
But his pants are still torn, as the “Germany's Next Top Model” viewer can see after the walk.
“And then I noticed while running: My ass is somehow airier.
And I notice how my pants are tearing more and more,” says Lucas, describing his situation on the catwalk.
The GNTM candidates are running their first fashion show.
This is an honor for Heidi Klum's show participants - but not everything goes smoothly: Lucas' pants come apart on the catwalk.

After his performance, the 24-year-old is very upset and not satisfied - but he doesn't blame himself: "I know when I've messed up, when I'm the problem.
But I wasn't the problem.
But the clothes were the problem.
Because the material was simply too unstable.”
The GNTM viewers still have to get used to the fact that as of this year not only women are allowed to take part in the popular ProSieben show - so far the new "Germany's Next Top Model" concept with Heidi Klum has failed with viewers.
