Nevertheless, the entertainer had doubts before taking part.

Soost (53) once took a strict look at the performances of the German “Popstars” candidates.
His choreographies helped the No Angels and Bro'Sis, among others, achieve their mega successes and gave Soost the reputation of a real dance expert.
However, the East Berlin native is now having his talent on the dance floor evaluated by a jury himself.

Soost knows that the chemistry has to be right on “Let’s Dance”.
In the 17th season of the popular RTL format “Let's Dance”, Soost is exceptionally devoting himself to classical couple dancing instead of hip-hop and modern dance steps.
Last week, this year's “Let's Dance” candidates were assigned their respective dance partners in the opening episode.
And as Soost now revealed in a new RTL interview, he seems to be astonishingly excited.
Detlef D! wants to work alongside professional dancer Ekaterina Leonova (36).
Soost win the crown in the current “Let’s Dance” season.
The chances of the two are good, after all, the TV choreographer has more dance experience than most of his competitors.
However, D! believes that performing with Ekaterina will also bring difficulties.
In particular, the intimacy of couple dances is not necessarily easy for him, Soost told RTL.
“It will be a challenge for me too.
To cross this threshold so that you merge with your dance partner as if you were actually a couple.
“It will be interesting,” he explains.

The idea of performing passionate dances such as a rumba in front of the millions of “Let's Dance” viewers intimidated Detlef D!
Soost apparently at first.
Fortunately, the professional manner of his dance partner Ekaterina Leonova took the “fizzing out” out of him, the entertainer continued in the RTL interview.
That's why it wasn't difficult for him to "dance so closely" with a woman other than his wife Kate Hall (40).
Soost says about working with the “Let’s Dance” regular dancer: “In a totally professional way: I was able to do that straight away with her.
It was all a given.” For their first appearance together on the show on March 1st, D!
and Ekaterina still decided on a slow waltz.
Another celebrity, however, will not be there in 2024: “Let's Dance” professional Christian Polanc (45) recently announced his exit from the show.
