On Monday, investigators arrested former RAF terrorist Klette in Berlin.
Their suspected accomplices could also be in the capital.
Berlin/Hannover - After the arrest of former RAF terrorist Daniela Klette, investigators suspect that her accomplices Ernst-Volker Staub and Burkhard Garweg could be in Berlin.
This was announced by the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office and the Verden public prosecutor's office.
The State Criminal Police Office is therefore intensifying the search in and around Berlin.
The investigators warned that there could be weapons and explosives in the apartments of the two wanted people.
This could pose a danger to the population.
Citizens are asked to support the police in the search.
Burdock lived with a false identity
Investigators had previously found, among other things, explosives, several weapons and a rocket-propelled grenade in the home of former RAF terrorist Klette in Berlin.
These include a Kalashnikov, a submachine gun and a handgun with ammunition.
Klette was arrested in Berlin-Kreuzberg on Monday evening.
The 65-year-old was in hiding for 30 years and is said to have lived in the capital for years under a false identity.
However, the name she is said to have used cannot be found on the doorbell at the entrance to the inconspicuous apartment building.
The Verden public prosecutor's office and the Lower Saxony State Criminal Police Office have been searching for Klette and the former RAF terrorists Garweg and Staub for decades.
They belong to the so-called third generation of the RAF.
During their active time, the then Deutsche Bank boss Alfred Herrhausen (1989) and Treuhand boss Detlev Karsten Rohwedder (1991) were murdered and Herrhausen's driver was seriously injured.
For decades, the left-wing extremist organization Red Army Faction (RAF) was the epitome of terror and murder in the west of still divided Germany.
