The press conference held by the family of Yuval Castelman, who was shot to death by a soldier who thought he was a terrorist, accelerated the investigation of the case by the Military Intelligence Service, according to sources in the department. "Yuval served in the Israel Police, and I myself volunteer in the Traffic Police. The hardest thing for us is to lose trust in the Israel Police. From what we have been exposed here, we have lost trust," said Yuval's father, Moshe Castleman.

The father expressed criticism towards the body in which his son served and investigated the incident.
"There was a situation where a senior police officer arrived, and explained to us why the body should not be dissected. In retrospect, we discovered that the officer lied with determination, which led to the removal of Yuval's body from the grave."
