Serious traffic accident in Illertissen: Four people are injured.

A car collides with an oncoming car in the Neu-Ulm district.
Four people are injured - including a small child.
Illertissen – Four people were injured in an accident near Illertissen (Neu-Ulm district).
According to initial findings, a 42-year-old woman swerved to avoid an oncoming car while overtaking a truck on Thursday afternoon (February 29) around 12:30 p.m., the police said.
Her car collided with a tree and the driver was reportedly seriously injured.
After the impact, the vehicle was thrown back and collided with the oncoming car.
Injured people taken to hospital – total loss of both vehicles
According to the police's initial findings, the three occupants - a 32-year-old, a 31-year-old and a six-month-old toddler - were slightly injured.
The rescue service took the four injured people to a clinic.
Both cars were totaled.
The police estimated this at around 30,000 euros.
The affected road was closed for around two and a half hours.
