Munich – Inflation eased again in Germany in February.

Consumer prices only rose by 2.5 percent compared to the same month last year, as the Federal Statistical Office announced its first estimate on Thursday.

In January the inflation rate fell to 2.9 percent.

Economists surveyed by the Reuters news agency had expected a decline to 2.6 percent.
