At the big anniversary show for Roland Kaiser, presenter Giovanni Zarrella quickly said goodbye to his guest of honor at the end.
Offenbach - On February 24, 2024, the show "Giovanni Zarrella presents: 50 years of Roland Kaiser", which was already eagerly awaited by fans, was broadcast on ZDF and was recorded in December 2023.
As was to be expected on the occasion of the milestone anniversary, the show also became very emotional several times.
The brief farewell to Roland Kaiser (71) by presenter Giovanni Zarrella (45) at the end of the hit show, which actually celebrated his life's work, was surprising.

After almost three hours of show, during which Kaiser's good friend Mary Roos (75) cried, the legendary pop singer finally performed his big hit “To Love You” on stage.
Hardly anyone in the audience stayed in their seats and everyone sang and danced along enthusiastically.
Giovanni Zarrella also swung his hips a little at the edge of the stage.
Towards the end of the song, the guests of the evening once again appeared in the background of Roland Kaiser and also clapped along.
Giovanni Zarrella gave his guest of honor a handshake and fireworks started, tinsel rained onto the stage.
“50 years of Roland Kaiser,” Zarrella shouted and somehow there was the expectation that emotional words would now follow that would once again have brought tears to the eyes of everyone present.

But Giovanni Zarrella was very brief.
“Roland, I hope we were able to make it a little nice for you,” he said as he put his arm around Kaiser.
“It was beautiful, so great, thank you,” he replied to loud applause.
“Are you happy?” the moderator asked again and the singer replied: “Very happy, yes, thank you.” “Then we are too,” replied Zarrella briefly and then moderated directly and thanked the viewers.

What felt like a rather abrupt end after a long show.
This may have been because Zarrella wanted or had to stick to the broadcast time of three hours.
If so, at least he succeeded in this perfectly.
There were also more emotional moments in the show: Roland Kaiser made a declaration of love for his wife.
