For 39.7% it is not always easy to see the good in the surrounding world, 1 in 4 Italians is quite successful at it. Among the good news that Italians wish to receive in 2024 are greater economic availability (22.4%) and better health for themselves and/or their loved ones (17.9%).

more good news to improve your mood and see what is positive in everyday life, from family, to love, to friendship, up to small daily gestures.

Eight out of ten Italians feel this need because they have the perception that there is a clear prevalence of negative news about the world spread by the media, seven out of ten people think so, with a consequence on the state of mind between pessimism and worry (almost 4 Italians out of 10).

This was revealed by AstraRicerche's opinion poll 'A better world' commissioned by Mulino Bianco which aims to change the point of view of everyday life to remind Italians that goodness exists.

The message is supported by a communication campaign entitled 'There is a better world'.

What strikes the mood of Italians the most are crime news (43.0%) versus stories of altruism, generosity and goodness (19.2%), international current affairs news (14.6%) and national (12.3%).

If for 39.7% it is not always easy to see the good in the surrounding world, 1 in 4 Italians is quite successful at it.

Although the perception of the interviewees on the world around them is still attributable to a difficult reality, positive feelings remain in the majority, such as curiosity (58.1%), interest (52.9%), enthusiasm and l excitement (37.7%).

When the news spread by the media is positive, over 6 out of 10 Italians recognize a direct positive consequence on their mood.

Among the good news that Italians wish to receive in 2024 are greater economic availability (22.4%), better health for themselves and/or their loved ones (17.9%).

While on a universal level, over 4 out of 10 Italians mention the cessation of wars.

The time when Italians get information is in the morning, for over 4 out of 10. The channels with the greatest presence of positive news are the digital ones without comparison: for 1 in 2 Italians, the internet (websites, newspaper sites, portals) is the main source, followed by social networks (41.4%).

TV follows, with decidedly smaller indications (31.9%).
