After Thomas Gottschalk didn't give the Kaulitz brothers any good in connection with a possible “Wetten,dass..?” successor, they shot back.
Mainz – It wasn't long ago that the Kaulitz brothers claimed that they were Thomas Gottschalk's (73) successors at “Wetten,dass..?”.
The long-time moderator of the format presented his last program on November 25, 2023.
Since then, speculation about a possible continuation of “Wetten,dass..?” with one or perhaps two new faces has not stopped.
“You didn’t invent the show!”: Kaulitz brothers shoot against Gottschalk
Gottschalk had made no secret of the fact that he considered “Heidi's adopted sons” unsuitable to succeed him and that he also considered the announcement to be untrue: “ZDF is not conducting any discussions, neither with one nor with the other Kaulitz Heidi Klum, who is, so to speak, the legal guardian of the two.” Now there is a corresponding retaliation from the twins in the media mudslinging.

reports, Bill (34) and Tom Kaulitz (34) dished out verbal abuse against the 73-year-old in their podcast “Kaulitz Hills – Mustard on Hollywood”.
So they commented that there was no reason for Gottschalk to feel “called” to make comments about his potential “Wetten, dass...?” successors.
“You didn’t invent the show!” said Bill Kaulitz.
“You are a presenter, ZDF hired you to moderate this show.
This isn't your show, you have nothing to report."
In addition, all of Gottschalk's formats, which also recently criticized Amira Pocher, did not work and were discontinued.

The two also reacted to Gottschalk's blasphemy attack that the Kaulitz brothers could only read from the prompter.
Tom found this remark mean and called it an "insinuation", while Bill responded with a sarcastic joke: "We only went to school until the eighth grade - how are we even supposed to read from the prompter?!"
The Kaulitz twins and Thomas Gottschalk are in a clinch with each other.

It doesn't sound as if the last word in this exchange has already been spoken.
How Gottschalk will react to the unforgiving words remains to be seen.
And also whether it ultimately turns out to be true that the Kaulitz twins will be Gottschalk's successors on “Wetten, dass...?”
Incidentally, show creator Frank Elstner now regrets handing over the “Wetten,dass..?” moderation to Gottschalk.
