The district has 128 more new skilled workers.
On Tuesday, District Administrator Olaf von Löwis and master metalworker Franz Nirschl honored this year's graduates of the Miesbach vocational school.
Miesbach - "Only the best are good enough for the districts of Miesbach and Bad Tölz - and you are the best," with these words Martin Greifenstein, headmaster at the Miesbach Vocational School Center, opened this year's graduation ceremony on Tuesday (February 27th).

His words were aimed at a total of 128 graduates from the fields of gastronomy, metal technology, business and administration.
Particularly noteworthy: 27 of them were awarded the State Prize, meaning they achieved a grade average of 1.5 or better.
Five of them also received the district award, meaning they had the best grade point average in the exam-relevant subjects in the respective training occupations.
District Administrator von Löwis: “Our region needs you.”
District Administrator Olaf von Löwis also found words of praise: “Many weeks and months of effort, stress, but also happiness are now behind you.” Just like the previous speaker, Greifenstein, the Miesbach district administrator emphasized what an extraordinary opportunity graduates worldwide now have They should come back at some point because “our region needs you”.
This year's keynote speech came from Franz Nirschl, owner of the metal construction company of the same name in Irschenberg.
He remembered that he was already able to give the ceremonial speech to the graduates in 2013.
"A lot has changed since then: a good 20 years ago, when I did my master's degree, there were only 15 students in the class, today you sometimes have to wait three years."
Nirschl therefore appealed for further training: “Skilled workers like you are in demand like never before.
Go to the BOS, become a master or technician.” His basic statement, which he summarized again at the end: “You have laid the foundation for your future.”

The state and district awards went to: Oliver Baraniak, Magdalena Hirth and Stefan Schlosser from Bad Wiessee, Christian Jackl from Fischbachau, Katharina Eham and Tim Pelz from Hausham, Elisbaeth Schober from Kreuth, Mariella Raderschadt from Rottach-Egern, Antonio Schönfeld from Waakirchen and Laura Schalghofer and Johanna Soyer from Warngau.
