Highlights: Green Arrow Capital, SolarDuck and New Developments have signed an agreement for the development of a floating hybrid wind-solar project off the coast of Corigliano Calabro. The plant, among the first in Italy, will have a capacity of 540 MW. With 28 floating wind turbines of 420 MW peak and a photovoltaic system of 120 MW peak it will be able to generate over 160 GWh of solar energy per year. The project is part of the investments of the Green Arrow Infrastructure of the Future Fund (GAIF)

Green Arrow Capital, SolarDuck and New Developments have signed an agreement for the development of a floating hybrid wind-solar project off the coast of Corigliano Calabro (Cosenza) on the Gulf of Taranto.

We read it in a note which indicates that the plant, among the first in Italy, will have a capacity of 540 MW.

The project is part of the investments of the Green Arrow Infrastructure of the Future Fund (GAIF), which invests in renewable energy and digital infrastructures in European markets and includes the installation of the 'SolarDuck' floating platform technology.

With 28 floating wind turbines of 420 MW peak and a photovoltaic system of 120 MW peak it will be able to generate over 160 GWh of solar energy per year.

Thanks to the photovoltaic panels off the coast, the plant will have a "minimal environmental impact" and will guarantee "safe conditions in operation and during maintenance operations".
