This is a matter that the national police would have done well without.

How could such a scam have gone under the radar, especially for years?

“It's not as if she had shown the slightest discretion... Everything was traceable,”

points out Corentin Delobel, the defendant's lawyer.

Between 2019 and the end of 2023, her client deceived her employer and the Primary Health Insurance Funds (CPAM) of Alpes-Maritimes and Var.

Psychologist employed at the central police station in Nice but also at those in Antibes and Cannes, the latter continued her activity in a concealed manner despite taking sick leave... for depression.

“This is undoubtedly the most improbable thing in this story.

We are dealing with a psychologist who herself suffers from psychiatric disorders following severe depression

,” observes Me Delobel.

At the end of a preliminary investigation opened at the end of last year, the latter was placed in police custody on Wednesday morning then referred and presented to a judge immediately as part of an appearance on prior admission of guilt (CRPC ).

The investigation established that the psychologist, despite her sick leave, had provided some 425 consultations in recent years via Doctolib and no less than twenty paid training courses through the organization “Socalys Formation” .

“And again, these are only consultations via Doctolib.

There are undoubtedly many others

,” notes a source close to the matter.

Everything having, in any case, never been declared either to his employer (who continued to pay him daily allowances), or to Urssaf.

As a liberal psychologist, on the other hand, she was well paid by the Maralpine and Var CPAMs.

“And at the same time, she was herself followed by a psychiatrist, who suspected nothing…”

, specifies her advice.

“She clearly took advantage of the situation”

Aware of the illegality of her practices, the forty-year-old tried in vain to justify them by her fear of running out of money.

“However, he is someone who lacks nothing.

We can even say that it is armored.

During her sick leave, she still invested on credit with her partner in four properties!

She clearly took advantage of the situation

,” explains the source close to the matter.

However, neither the police, nor Urssaf, nor the CPAM wanted to file a complaint.

Sentenced on Wednesday to a one-year suspended prison sentence without entry on bulletin no. 2 of her criminal record for fraud and concealed work, she will also have to pay the daily allowances unduly received.

23,000 euros have already been seized from his bank accounts.

“But what will cost him the most are the adjustments from Urssaf and taxes with penalties of 40% on undeclared income

,” specifies his lawyer.

And added that his client

“will pay”

.

“She only aspires to forget and return to the normal course of her life

,” concludes Corentin Delobel.
