“Recent information is circulating concerning the authorization granted for the installation of a Saudi village on the very site of Les Invalides from May 10, 2024.” The speech of the deputy (LR) of Rhône, Nathalie Serre, Wednesday February 28 in session at the National Assembly attracted the attention of his colleagues and created a stir.

According to her, a “village” could be set up within the grounds of the Hôtel national des Invalides, “near the entrance to the military necropolis, on the side of the dome” for a period of four months, i.e. for “the entire period of the Olympic and Paralympic Games”.

Herself a member of the Defense Committee at the National Assembly, Nathalie Serre asked for clarification from the government representatives present in the chamber.
