Between Enedis, EDF and the City of Paris, things are going well.
All three signed this Thursday a new contract for the public service of electricity distribution and supply at regulated sales rates, which will come into force on January 1, 2025 for a period of twenty-five years.
In total, 3 billion euros of investment are planned between now and 2050 to adapt the Parisian electricity network to the consequences of climate change and help the most vulnerable consumers.
“This unprecedented concession contract places the Parisian territory at the forefront of the energy transition in France,” declared Anne Hidalgo, the mayor (PS) of Paris.
This is a very important first step towards achieving the objectives of carbon neutrality, energy sobriety and renewable energy production of the new Paris Climate plan.”
