After a difficult 2023, the Wörther Schützen are starting the new year with team spirit and drive.

Wörth - Team spirit and cohesion were the two concepts that hovered over the general meeting of the Wörther Moosrösl-Schützen throughout the evening and were taken up several times in the reports by chairman Thomas Mairoth, treasurer Silvia Mairoth, secretary Daniela Lenz and youth leader Paula Sölch.

The past club year was not an easy one for the Moosrösler, especially because of the six resignations, which also affected the board.

Like many other clubs, the Moosrösler are primarily concerned about young talent due to the declining number of members.

This is painfully noticeable in competition operations, where nowhere near as many competitions can be held as the shooters would like.

Although eight members were able to secure first places at the 2023 annual championships, to everyone's disappointment no competition team can be set up for 2024.

But the problem has been recognized and is being addressed with new ideas.

The focus will be on youth work in order to bring the currently very low number of active youth shooters back to a competitive level.

The shooters tried to do this last year and took part in the community's holiday program with a trial shooting session.

This commitment should be further expanded.

The Moosröslers also rely on public relations work in the form of events for young and old.

In addition to numerous shooting events throughout the year, there is a mudflat tournament in April to which all carters are welcome.

Organizing a flea market is also being discussed.

And at the end of September, after the successful start last year, there will be another autumn festival with Steckerlfisch by Michael Seemüller on the square in front of the clubhouse.

In order to be able to meet these goals in terms of personnel, some offices had to be filled, filled or replaced during the regular elections.

Due to the resignation, the position of 2nd shooting master became vacant, which Andreas Wiethaus now holds after a unanimous election.

Thomas Mairoth (1st shooting master), Silvia Mairoth (1st treasurer) and Daniela Lenz (1st secretary) were unanimously confirmed.

Since the previous sports director Felix Zacherl is no longer available, the second sports director Denise Lenz was unanimously elected as his successor, supported by secretary Daniela Lenz, who also took over the office of the second sports director.

The situation in the youth leadership was similar; here too, the previous first youth leader, Frank Ngenzi, was no longer available.

This office was taken over by second treasurer Paula Sölch, who had already had the opportunity to familiarize herself.

She is supported by Alexander Sölch, who was confirmed in his previous position as second youth leader.

The assessors also had to be filled.

Since the previous assessors Felix Zacherl and Rudi Angermaier no longer stood for election, Petra Sölch and Georg Reibold were elected.

The previous assessors Johann Kainz, Erhard Mayer and Rita Zacherl were also unanimously confirmed in their positions, as were the auditors Erhard Mayer and Georg Raibold and the club chronicler Rita Zacherl.

And Chairman Mairoth also took over the office of weapons officer.

After a difficult year in 2023, the hard core of the club is starting the new season with confidence, drive and a lot of commitment.

In numbers this means: Twelve of the 14 members present have taken on a total of 18 positions, six of them hold two each.
