Unemployment in the Erding district remains at a comparatively high level for the region.
Erding/Freising - Although there were 2,181 unemployed people in February, 30 fewer than in January, this had no effect on the rate of 2.6 percent.
It remains unchanged.
A year ago it was 2.3 percent.
The Freising Employment Agency published these figures on Thursday.
On the other hand, there is the demand for personnel.
According to the agency, companies reported 216 new positions to be filled in the second month of this year.
In total, the agency has 1,017 offers from Erdinger companies.
“The unemployment rate in our region continues to be one of the lowest in the country.
“The effects of the global crises and ongoing economic transformation processes are increasingly being felt on the regional labor market,” said Freising director Nikolaus Windisch, commenting on the February statistics.
“Bringing job seekers and companies together is becoming more difficult due to the changed framework conditions,” he said.
Qualifications for the unemployed, but also for employees in companies, could be a key to responding positively to changes in the world of work.
In this context, Windisch refers to the online lecture series “Finding and securing skilled workers”.
This runs until March 21st.

Erdinger constituency representative and Social Affairs Minister Ulrike Scharf places the numbers in the context of the overall economic situation: “Business confidence is plummeting.
The German economy is shrinking.
We are the only G7 country to have slipped into recession.” Germany is “no longer the locomotive, but rather the brake on Europe.”
This is “not a small dent, but is also becoming a real problem for our welfare state”.
This makes it all the more urgent for the federal government to take measures to get the economy going again.
