Halle - Unemployment in Saxony-Anhalt fell slightly in February.
The number of unemployed was 87,588, 548 or 0.6 percent lower than in January.
The unemployment rate was 8.0 percent, compared to 7.8 percent in the same month last year, as the Federal Employment Agency announced on Thursday.
In February 2023, 85,711 people were registered as unemployed in Saxony-Anhalt.
For the statistics, the Federal Agency used data that was available up to February 14th.
“The labor market in February in Saxony-Anhalt remains stable and follows the typical seasonal pattern, even if unemployment falls less than usual,” explained the head of the Saxony-Anhalt-Thuringia regional directorate, Markus Behrens.
