A few days after the incident, the questions remain.

Why was a teacher violently attacked late Monday afternoon outside the Gérard-Philipe college in Villeparisis?

Is this gratuitous aggression?

Was he targeted?

Was the attack linked to his private life or linked to his profession?

For the moment, police officers from the Chelles-Villeparisis urban police station, in charge of the investigation, are continuing their investigations to answer all these questions.

It was around 5:15 p.m. when the 26-year-old teacher, who had just left the college of 500 students in which he teaches mathematics, suddenly found himself facing two young people, as revealed by Actu17.

They knocked him to the ground, before punching and kicking him.

They then fled, leaving their victim with a bloody nose and multiple bruises.

The professor managed to get to the hospital on his own for treatment.

The municipal police have reinforced their presence around the college

“He filed a complaint and is currently on sick leave,” the Créteil rectorate said.

He is supported both medically and administratively and there is also adapted support for all those who wish it.

» According to the rectorate, the climate in this college is usually quite good and there has been no request to bring in the academy's mobile security teams.

“We were quickly informed of the situation,” confides Frédéric Bouche (PS), the mayor of Villeparisis.

Fortunately, we were quickly reassured about the professor's physical health.

Concerning security, it turns out that since the beginning of the week, we already had four municipal police officers present in the area because of a construction site.

But I still asked that we increase our presence at student arrival and departure times.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time that a teacher has been the target of an attack in Seine-et-Marne.

On January 28, 2022, a contract teacher at the Uruguay-France high school, in Avon, was attacked by a 17-year-old student in her class after a trivial remark.

In October 2021, another teacher was the victim of a violent gesture in her classroom at the Jacques-Prévert vocational high school, in Combs-la-Ville.

She had been violently thrown to the ground by the door which a student opened suddenly while she tried to prevent him from leaving his class.
