So far everything is going smoothly with the planning of the wind farm in the Höhenkirchner Forest.

And a major concern was also dispelled.

Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn

– The preparatory work for the construction of the three wind turbines in the Höhenkirchner Forest is progressing according to plan.

“We are on schedule,” said Mayor Mindy Konwitschny (SPD) in the environmental committee of the municipality of Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn - and was also able to come up with other good news in this context.

Systems SF6-free

According to the head of the town hall, the responsible authority has now approved the SF6-free switchgear from Siemens for use.

They are now being installed in the wind turbines by the company Enercon, which is building the systems in the Höhenkirchner Forest, for an additional charge of 10,600 euros per switchgear.

As reported, there were critical questions in the local council because, according to a resolution by the environmental committee, the small wind farm was to be built without the climate-damaging sulfur hexalfluoride (SF6), but as it only became clear afterwards that the legal requirements for this were still missing.

This hurdle has now been overcome.

“This not only means that the transfer stations are exemplary SF6-free, but also the wind turbines,” emphasized Konwitschny.

To the satisfaction of Otto Bußjäger (UB) and Roland Spingler (CSU), who both campaigned for SF6-free systems.

The planned wind turbines in the Hofoldinger Forest would also be built SF6-free, said the mayor.

The Schedule

According to Konwitschny, the majority of the necessary tree felling has been completed.

Out of consideration for the dormouse, who are still in hibernation and are under special protection, the rhizomes are not cleared until May.

This and the earthworks will last until August.

Laying the foundation will begin in September and construction of the tower will begin in November.

Between March and August 2025, the large components such as rotor blades, gearboxes and generators are scheduled to be delivered and the final assembly of the wind turbines will take place.

When what will be built will be coordinated precisely with those responsible for the wind farm in the Hofoldinger Forest, emphasizes Konwitschny.

After all, the same Enercon wind turbines would be built there.

The components are delivered via the motorway first to the Hofoldinger Forest.

The construction crew then moves on from Hofoldinger Forest towards Höhenkirchner Forest.

“So all the wind turbines are set up one after the other,” explained Konwitschny.

The trucks would approach the Hofoldinger Forest via the Harthauser roundabout.

The wind turbines could go into operation in August 2025, and after a test phase, all wind turbines should be fully functional and generating electricity by the end of 2025.

Lawsuit against project

As in many other cases, the Association for Landscape Conservation, Species Protection and Biodiversity has filed a lawsuit with the Bavarian Administrative Court against the wind power project in the Höhenkirchner Forest.

According to Konwitschny, the law firm advising the community sees no evidence of possible success for wind power opponents.

Konwitschny: “They are actually inferior every time.”
