A post on Reddit sparks a lively discussion.
In the photo you can see a man standing with his car in a disabled parking space - and “criminating” even more.
Munich – Weekly shopping can sometimes prove to be a real effort.
Because the stress often starts when looking for a parking space.
It becomes particularly annoying when some cars are parked crookedly or poorly, so that there is no space left for your own car.
A Reddit post is currently causing a stir because the car shown in the photo not only takes up the space of two, but is also in a disabled parking space.
Excitement about illegal parking in disabled parking spaces: “How many traffic rules can I break at once?”
A user published the post under the “Austria” subreddit, which means it can be assumed that the photo was taken in Austria.
However, it is unclear which supermarket parking lot this is.
The users in the comment column also do not agree on where the photo was taken.
The fact is, however, that the man behind the wheel parked incorrectly - and apparently has no physical disability.
Parked incorrectly or just stopped?
Opinions are divided
The author asked in his post: “How many traffic rules can I break at once?” The Reddit community gives him the answer: none.
Because according to them, the Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) do not apply to private parking spaces.
Since this is a public parking lot, general traffic regulations apply.
Accordingly, it is also prohibited to park in one (or two) disabled parking spaces without a disabled person's permit or pass.
However, it is permitted to park in a disabled parking space.
According to the catalog of fines, the requirement is that the maximum duration of three minutes is not exceeded and the driver does not leave the vehicle.
Since the man in the photo looks like he's talking on the phone, it's possible that he was actually just holding it.
This is also the opinion of a user who writes that he probably “parked somewhere” just to make a phone call.
