Threats and invectives erupted when the verdict was announced.
Akim T., 43, was found guilty of the murder of Thomas Carbonnel and sentenced to 25 years of criminal imprisonment.
The decision was rendered by the Val-d'Oise Assize Court on the night of Thursday to Friday, after three days of hearing.
The one who, throughout the investigation and during this trial, claimed to have fatally injured the 23-year-old victim to escape death himself, repeating that he had acted in self-defense, literally exploded while the court ruled her decision.

The sisters of the accused made threats, so much so that the police forces mobilized at the time of the verdict had to exfiltrate Thomas' family for their safety.
