After Reddit, the social media that is about to be listed on the stock exchange, other technological platforms could also sell their contents to artificial intelligence systems for their power.
According to rumors, Tumblr and Wordpress are also preparing to sell the content of their respective platforms, generated by users, to OpenAI and Midjourney which develop AI solutions.
The news was initially released by the 404 Media website based on a source familiar with the agreements and internal documentation and appears to be imminent.
The company Automattic, which owns Tumblr and Wordpress, has not officially confirmed the news but has published a statement on its website regarding artificial intelligence, entitled 'Protecting user choice'.
Agreements for the training of artificial intelligence models are becoming a profit opportunity for various technological realities.
A few days ago Bloomberg broke the news that the Reddit platform, which is about to land on Wall Street, would have closed an agreement with Google worth 60 million dollars a year to make its contents available for the training of the motor giant's artificial intelligence models of research.
