Did you know that Alderney Air Services, more commonly known as Alderney, is the national airline of Guernsey?

Founded in 1968 by local resident Derrick Bailey, it was created to provide an air connection between Guernsey and the island of Alderney.

Recognizable by its yellow and white livery, the colors of the jockeys of Bailey's father's racing horses, the company quickly distinguished itself by providing regular passenger and freight flights between the Channel Islands, the United Kingdom and France !

In 2003, the States of Guernsey acquired Alderney to ensure the sustainability of the link with London Gatwick Airport, demonstrating its strategic importance.

The archipelago also accessible by ferry from the Normandy coast

In addition to the new air connections, the annual sea connections offer an attractive and practical alternative to reach the Islands of Guernsey.

Condor Ferries offers regular rotations from Cherbourg and Saint-Malo.

The company Manche Îles Express, for its part, also provides connections from Port Diélette, Granville and Carteret.

These services offer a direct connection (Port Diélette) or with a stopover in Jersey (Granville and Carteret) to the island of Guernsey.
