A safe crossing over the notes between the city of Dorfen and the Tonwerk is overdue.

The former brickworks is virtually cut off from the city center.

This situation has its origins in the planning for the ABS38 that has been going on for decades.

At first it was a bitter irony that just as the former factory crossing was closed, new life was blossoming on the industrial wasteland.

The Tonwerk was once intended for temporary use.

There are now companies there with 600 jobs.

And again and again party guests overcome fences and tracks in life-threatening arrogance.

Bitter irony now turned into deadly seriousness.

At the same time, plans for a completely new district are becoming concrete, and the Tonwerk is also to remain.

So the pedestrian bridge is needed anyway.

Even before the accident, people thought: The pressure to finally eliminate this security risk couldn't get any greater.

Instead, the buck of official responsibilities continues to be passed back and forth.

From the city via the district office, the railway and the state building authority (in the case of the roads on the B15) to the investor - and further in the circle.

This has to change quickly.
