An overall saving of over 8.5 million euros compared to the weighted average of safeguard prices.
This is the result obtained in 2023 by the 149 consortium members belonging to Bcc Energia, the body established in 2009 within the Cooperative Credit to encourage the purchase - in consortium form - of electricity from renewable sources.
It includes 131 Cooperative Credit Banks, 11 local federations of mutual banks and 7 companies in the Cooperative Credit system.
In addition to the Cooperative Credit entities, there are 124 companies that are members and/or customers of Bcc, operating in the most diverse sectors.
For Augusto dell'Erba - president of the Consortium and of Federcasse, Bcc Energia is "a structured and specialized unit, increasingly seen as a category tool, useful and efficient, and with valid prospects".
Looking ahead, in light of the very recent approval of the Operating Rules by the GSE (Energy Services Manager) to access the incentives provided by the Decree of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety on Renewable Energy Communities (Cer), Bcc Energia will make its expertise available to the banks and the associated companies - in coordination with other national and local Cooperative Credit structures - in an accompaniment process for the implementation of the Cers.
