Ebersberg - The fire brigade, rescue service and police rushed to a traffic accident on Münchener Straße in the area of the Edeka and Aldi shopping markets in the midday hours.
Here a VW station wagon collided with a tractor.
Two people, a man and a woman, were trapped in the car.
Fire departments have to free injured people from cars
The Ebersberg and Grafing fire departments had to use heavy equipment to free the accident victims from the car.
According to initial information from the scene of the accident, the man and woman sustained moderate to severe injuries.
However, it was said that they were responsive.
According to eyewitness reports, the car driver wanted to turn onto Münchener Straße and overlooked the tractor that had the right of way and was pulling a liquid manure tank.
The driver's side of the car crashed into the tractor, whose driver was uninjured.
According to eyewitnesses, he tried to brake, which was also suggested by corresponding tracks on the road surface.
Rescue helicopter in action
A rescue helicopter that was called was able to take off again and the injured were transported away with the Sanka. The street had to be completely closed in the area of the shopping markets.
The rescue of the tractor combination was difficult, also because the trailer was full of manure.
