“Roads are the state's primary asset, but it does not maintain it.
So when you are elected, you have to find solutions.
» François Durovray (LR), the president of the Essonne departmental council, has long had to face the discontent of users using the N6 daily, particularly in the sector between Brunoy (Essonne) and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val -de-Marne).
Around 55,000 vehicles pass through it every day.
“Coming from Villeneuve, it was dangerous for motorcycles.
It was a field of potholes and patches,” recalls the elected official.
Not to mention the dirt on this axis where rubbish piled up on the shoulders.
Every year a major cleaning operation was organized and several hundred volunteers mobilized to collect several tonnes of waste.
At the time, François Durovray did not hesitate to describe this road as a “real pigsty”.
