A fraudster pulled off a bold scam in a supermarket in Bad Heilbrunn.

It all started seemingly harmlessly with paying for a limo.

Bad Heilbrunn - A 19-year-old cashier in a supermarket in Bad Heilbrunn has now become the victim of a brazen con artist.

According to police, the incident happened last week, on February 22nd.

Trick fraud in the supermarket in Bad Heilbrunn

A man went to the cash register around 11:30 a.m. to pay for a soda.

After she had done this, the unknown person allegedly put the 50s on the cash register tape and wanted them changed into 20 euro notes.

The 19-year-old refused on the grounds that she didn't have enough small bills.

So they exchanged the notes back.

Bad Heilbrunn: Police are investigating a case of fraud

After the limo was paid for, the man decided to buy cigarettes, paid for them and left the supermarket.

Apparently the young woman was distracted by the back and forth exchanges, and the man took advantage of the whole confusion to commit fraud.

In any case, when the bill was paid at 3 p.m. it was noticed that 500 euros were missing from the cash register.

The Tölz police are investigating and are asking for information from witnesses by calling 08041/761060.
