Utting - Mayor Florian Hoffmann was proud of the unity and cohesion of the people of Utting at the current municipal council meeting in front of fully occupied visitor chairs.

With almost four thousand signatures of support, it was made clear to one person that the traditional culture must continue to live in Summerpark.

After all, this is a leisure area for everyone and not a retirement home.

As reported, a resident who does not live directly next to the park threatened both the community and the organizers of the summer market and the lake stage with an injunction in a 40-page lawyer's letter.

He feels bothered by the alleged noise and would like to have both cultural events banned.

From 10 p.m. onwards, only 35 decibels are allowed in a purely residential area, which corresponds to the noise of a refrigerator or a room fan.

According to the municipality's legal advice, exceptions are allowed on 18 days a year.

This is what the community relies on at the lake stage, while the summer market only takes place during the day until 10 p.m. anyway.

Due to a complaint from a resident: Seebühne boss presents a slimmed down program

Seebühne boss Florian Münzer has already slimmed down his schedule for 2024.

Between July 20th and August 10th he will perform “Goggolore” according to Otto Reuther on just 16 days without microphones and loudspeakers, with no performances on Sundays and Mondays.

The construction of a bent spectator stand with 364 seats and a soundproof wall at the back was unanimously approved.

According to the plan, the waterfront promenade will not be blocked by the grandstand.

Traffic can be directed past both behind and in front of the building.

Finally, a stage platform is built on wooden piles into the lake.

The meadow below the town hall may be used as a parking lot on setup, rehearsal and game days.

Miene Gruber has also reduced this year's summer market from June 21st to 23rd: live music and catering operations end at 10 p.m.

Gruber said bitterly that he couldn't allow anything more.

Gruber has made provisions for the costs of any legal dispute.

His crowdfunding campaign under the motto “Save the Summer Market” brought in over twelve thousand euros from 152 donations from citizens within just a few days.

The money is managed by former mayor Josef Lutzenberger.

If donations remain, Gruber wants to support the legal support of the floating stage.

“Everything that is not needed is then donated to the Uttinger Kulturforum,” says Miene Gruber.

The municipality gave him market rights for the craft market for five years, which has been an integral part of the regional art and culture scene for 30 years.

70 regional and international exhibitors offer jewelry, textile design, upcycling fashion and unusual art objects.

There is also music, food and drinks.

Gruber: “This established village festival and the lake stage are threatened with extinction by the neighbor who doesn't even live right next to them.

If he wins, the existence of any events of a similar nature in our park would be threatened.

I can't believe this and want to defend myself.

In my opinion, working together instead of against each other is the core essence of our beautiful community of Utting.

Our market has always communicated friendly with its neighbors.

But what is happening now is something completely different: it's about the whole thing!

Like David against Goliath, I face a very strong front, but I am not alone.”

Local councilor Dr.

During the discussion, Nikolaus Högenauer (GAL) referred to the Bavarian Constitution, according to which Bavaria is a “cultural state”.

That's why cultural events need to be promoted, where Utting does it in an exemplary manner.

However, it is doubtful whether Högenauer's appeal for “benevolence” will be heard by the sensitive neighbor.
