Police stopped a drunk driver during a traffic stop.
The man now faces a fine and a driving ban.
Warngau – A car trip ended unexpectedly earlier for a 61-year-old from Warngau yesterday, Thursday.
At around 6.30 p.m. he was subjected to a general traffic check by a patrol from the Holzkirchen police station on Schmidhamer Straße in Osterwarngau.
“The officers noticed a clear smell of alcohol from the driver,” reports Police Chief Inspector Robert Hirschel.

The man from Warngau voluntarily underwent a breath alcohol test, which showed a value well above the 0.5 alcohol limit.
The result was then confirmed by an alcohol test that could be used in court.
Further travel was stopped and the vehicle was parked safely.
The 61-year-old now faces a fine and a driving ban.
