Used panels from photovoltaic power plants reused to power a clinic and a school in Africa and two associations in Italy.
This is Erg's initiative which was presented at the Key renewables fair in Rimini.
The starting point is the reuse of around 500 panels still in good condition from two Erg parks in Puglia.
In Malawi, a new 40 kWp off-grid solar system will be installed through the Community of Sant'Egidio, alongside a 40 kWh storage system to power the "Alumando" diagnostic center in Blantyre.
In Madagascar, through the third sector organization (ETS) BokiMamiko, an off-grid solar energy island will be built, consisting of a photovoltaic system and an "engineered" container, for an installed capacity of 10 kWp.
The energy produced will be used to light and operate the services of four buildings of the St. Joseph School, in Maherivaratra, in the north of the island.
In Italy, the donation of Erg photovoltaic modules will be used to "solarize" the roofs of a car parking area at Dynamo Camp in Milan, the Ets which offers recreational therapy programs to children and adolescents suffering from chronic diseases.
In Genoa, the donation was used to personalize a pitch of the roof of the Music for Peace headquarters.
