The fire brigade arrived at the Lido in front of Venice because of a sunfish that had washed up.
She shows photos of the large animal on the Internet.
Venice – Passers-by have made a remarkable find at the idyllic Lido di Venezia.
Through a post on Facebook, the local fire department informed about how they were called to an unusual operation early Saturday afternoon (February 24th): the discovery of a huge sunfish on the beach.

Fire department posts photo of huge deep-sea fish carcass
The photos shared by the fire department on Facebook show the carcass of the impressive sea creature.
Some show how straps were placed around the fish's body, while marks in the sand suggest the animal was dragged closer to land.
In view of the impending bad weather front, the emergency services, in consultation with the police, decided to recover the carcass, as they explain in their article.
Although the sunfish washed up on the coast of Italy is already impressive in size, its counterparts can grow much larger.
The largest sunfish ever recorded, discovered off the Azores, weighed a staggering 2.7 tonnes - more than double the specimen at the Lido.
At around a thousand kilograms, this is almost lightweight in comparison.
Beach visitors also made an unusual and serious find in Australia in the summer.
As the fire department also announced, the giant animal will be transported from the Lido di Venezia by a special company and made available to scientists at the University of Padua.
Sunfish occasionally get lost in the North and Baltic Seas
There are three different species of sunfish: the sunfish (Mola mola), the giant sunfish (Mola alexandrini) and the slightly smaller sunfish sunfish (Mola tecta).
According to the German Foundation for Marine Protection, these animals mainly feed on jellyfish.

As the largest bony fish in the world, sunfish are characterized by their large eyes and mouths that they cannot close completely.
They prefer tropical and subtropical waters.
According to the Thünen Institute, it can also happen that they reach the North and Baltic Seas through the Gulf Stream.
Enormous efforts are being made to preserve the deep sea as a habitat.
For Venice, however, the water masses are becoming increasingly dangerous.
The city recently had to protect itself from rising water levels with flood protection gates.
