This is a case with still unclear circumstances.

Le Figaro
learned
from consistent sources, confirming information revealed by
BFMTV
.
According to a police source, the events occurred on the night of February 22 to 23, in a geriatric center in Aix-en-Provence.
The police, urgently called by nursing assistants from the establishment, found one of its residents in his room, unconscious and with a
“bloody”
head .
The victim's roommate, aged 93, was also in the room when the police arrived.
The attacker embarrassed by
his roommate’s
“screams”
and
“moans”
Evacuated to hospital in serious condition, the victim died this Thursday during the day.
Contacted, the public prosecutor of Aix-en-Provence, Jean-Luc Blachon, confirmed to Le
Figaro
that an investigation into the charge of
“violence leading to death without intention to cause it”
was still underway, an autopsy of the body of the deceased having been ordered to establish the causes of the victim's death as well as
"the existence or not of a causal link between the violence and the death"
of the latter.
The alleged attacker, the roommate of the nonagenarian himself aged 93, was arrested and placed in police custody as soon as the facts were discovered.
According to a source close to the file at Le
Figaro
, this man, recently placed in the victim's room, told investigators that he had been bothered by the
"screams"
and
"moans"
of his roommate who was probably suffering from
"dementia"
, which would have triggered the attack.
The object used to injure him would be a
“toilet brush”
, discovered bloodied in the bathroom of the two nonagenarians.
