The “Hartz und cordial” favorites Pascal, Petra and Selina are taking off on TikTok.
But is the income enough to live independently of the office?
Money worries, health problems and unemployment – this is what many residents of the Mannheim Benz barracks are dealing with.
Since 2017, these fates have been documented in the documentary soap “Hartz and warmly”.
Some of the audience favorites have been there for years and give the audience an insight into their lives.
So do Pascal, Petra and Selina.

Pascal and Petra from “Hartz und Herzen” want to make TikTok their main source of income
Through their TV presence on “Hartz und Herzen” the three were able to build up a large following on social media.
Thousands of followers follow the Mannheim family, especially on the video platform TikTok.
Pascal and Petra now want to make a stable income from this.
With just one live stream, “Hartz and cordial” Pascal and Selina recently earned an impressive 80 euros.
If it always works like this, could TikTok replace citizen's money for the family in the future?
Pascal, Petra and Selina currently receive a total of 741 euros from the office, which they have to live on each month.
“Hartz und cordial” stars calculate living costs – is TikTok money enough?
To answer this question, Pascal and Petra create a spreadsheet to calculate their monthly living expenses.
They come to around 1,600 euros.
However, Pascal only earned just under 1,700 euros on TikTok that month, which leaves no more than 100 euros “to live on”.
“That’s really not enough,” says 52-year-old Petra.
“He would have to get an average of 1,400 to 1,500, but so would I, so that it would be covered and we would also have a standard of living.” Her son Pascal is sure that this is possible on TikTok, but Petra is afraid that she will cannot rely on this monthly income.

These “Hartz und cordial” stars from Mannheim have already set up their own businesses
Nevertheless, the “Hartz und cordial” stars want to do their best in this attempt to finally live independently of the office.
So that everything runs smoothly from a tax perspective, both Pascal and Petra would like to register a small business.
Because as TikTok “Inflorenza”, as Petra would say, they are considered independent.
Pascal has already had run-ins with the law in the past.
Her neighbor Janine also started her own business in 2022 with her passion for make-up and opened a beauty salon.
Unfortunately, this wasn't worth it, which is why the mother of two had to close the shop again after a short time.
Now Janine has finally found a job again, as shown in the new episodes “Hartz and warmly”.
