Greenfield solar parks are currently being built all over the district.
The Münsingen local council has now cleared the way for two projects.
Münsing - On Tuesday, the local council cleared the way for the construction of two open-space photovoltaic (PV) systems.
For an investor's facility opposite the A95 junction east of Münsing with an area of 2.7 hectares and for the planned Agrobs facility on the company premises in Degerndorf with an area of five hectares, the development plan was unanimously adopted as a statute after two interpretations.
Hedges as privacy screens in Münsing
Greenfield solar parks are currently being built all over the district.
“We need them to achieve the energy transition,” said Mayor Michael Grasl (Free Voters) at the local council meeting.
It cannot be avoided that the systems are visible and thus affect the landscape.
The development plan therefore provides for generous greening for the projects in Münsing and Degerndorf.
In Münsing, the facility is shielded from the street by a three-meter-high hedge.
The solar modules are also facing north so as not to blind drivers when the sun is shining.
Hedges are also planned to provide privacy to the east and west.
Trees and hedges should surround the facility in Degerndorf
In its statement on the development plan, the East Bank Protection Association (OSV) also called for a hedge to the south, where a cycle path runs.
The community also wants to plant a green strip here.
In addition, the facility in Degerndorf will be surrounded by trees and hedges.
However, the OSV criticized the lack of greenery to the south, towards the halls of the feed manufacturer Agrobs.
The community considers these to be unnecessary.

Christine Mair (Greens) said that open-space photovoltaics are a great opportunity for the energy transition and also for biodiversity, because flowering meadows are to be created under the 3.80 meter high stands on which the solar panels are located.
“I hope they are looked after,” said Mair.
There were no serious objections to the two projects from those responsible for public affairs.
