A 14-year-old teenager suspected of having threatened to kill a PE teacher at a college in La Seyne-sur-Mer (Var) has been identified,

learned from the public prosecutor of Toulon, Samuel Finielz.
This young boy living in the Toulon area is suspected of being behind a threatening telephone call against the teacher.
She had received a voice message on her personal phone from an individual promising to “cut her up”, “slit her throat” and “kill her”, explaining in particular that he had been excluded from her establishment because of her .
As revealed by
Le Figaro
, the professor quickly filed a complaint with the police, explaining during her hearing that she suspected one of her former students of being the author of the phone call.
A police source indicated that this young man attending Henri Wallon college had been excluded from his establishment for having threatened to
“kill all the teachers”
and
“set fire”
to his college.
An investigation was opened by the Toulon public prosecutor's office into charges of
"death threats against a teacher"
following a report from the management of the establishment via article 40 of the code of criminal procedure.
The teacher's number had been exchanged on a video game platform
Seized of the investigation, the police forces of La Seyne-sur-Mer ended up apprehending the teenager as well as two other minors suspected of having helped the suspect to obtain the number of the teacher.
The trio, who met on
“a video game platform”
according to the Toulon prosecutor, exchanged several contacts with
“people they wanted to see threatened”
, including the professor.
The minor suspected of having threatened to kill his teacher is being brought before a children's judge, in particular for
"death threats materialized in writing, images or any other object"
,
"repeated malicious telephone calls"
and
"death threats or damage to property dangerous to people against a person responsible for a public service mission
.
Seized of the case, the Toulon public prosecutor's office requested a judicial review, a ban on contact with the threatened teacher, monitoring of judicial protection of youth as well as a curfew measure.
The two other minors are suspected of making death threats against other victims who are not teachers.
