A summary of the last city council meeting was followed by a discussion about the local parking situation at the FDP's “local political half hour”.

Wolfratshausen – As reported, getting into conversation is the declared goal of the digital get-together of the Wolfratshausen FDP.

The initiator and Wolfratshausen FDP city councilor Dr.

Patrick Lechner as a sign of success.

The list of participants in the video conversation included eleven people.

At the beginning of the conference, Lechner reviewed the most recent city council meeting.

The confirmation of the new fire chief was “a formality.”

The application by the Fairtrade steering group to hand over the former Happsche Pharmacy, which the city bought almost eight years ago, to the “Ein Welt” association for a “Fairtrade” store is “not quite ready yet”.

And Lechner finds it a shame that the two furniture stores XXXLutz and Mömax will no longer be allowed to open on shopping Sundays in the future, as reported.

“But we have to bow to that.” The eleven participants, some from other city council factions, listened to his explanations until the mathematician with a doctorate came to talk about the focus of the meeting: the parking situation in Loisachstadt.

But contrary to Lechner's assumption, the spotlight was not primarily on the Hatzplatz parking lot location, which the city council unanimously decided on.

Stefanie Lorenz considered the problematic parking situation in the Farchet district around the fairytale forest and the Isar-Loisach stadium to be more urgent: “Especially because fairytale forest operator Daniel Diessl wants to pay for a parking deck.

You should accept the offer.”

SPD city councilor Manfred Menke agreed.

After all, it's a seven-figure sum that doesn't have to be taken out of the city's coffers.

“Construction noise, tree felling and accompanying phenomena” cannot be avoided.

According to Menke, “the pressure in Farchet is now high enough” that residents who had spoken out against the construction of a parking deck in the past would also give in.

However, Lechner has a clear prioritization: “The hunting area comes first.

Farchet comes after that.” Although the city council decided to build a parking garage there in 2017, it canceled the lease agreement concluded with an investor.

“Why?” Martin Lorenz wanted to know.

“Ultimately it depended on the design of the exterior facade,” Lechner remembered.

That shouldn't happen this time.

“We finally have to put a lid on it,” he emphasized.

But the plan should be well thought out, Lorenz interjected.

“You shouldn’t just look at the costs, but also at the future.” His wish: a climate-friendly parking garage – but soon.

He himself has given up looking for a parking space in Loisachstadt.

“Now I only travel there on foot or by bike.”
