The duo admitted to using cannabis and crack cocaine on the evening of Friday, February 23.

Medical examinations are underway to find out if the victim died of an overdose, or

"from medical problems from which she suffered" -

diabetes - or even from an

"interaction between these two problems"

Plunging into “deep sleep”

The young teenager, Maryam, had run away from a DAIS in Melun, dependent on the Educational and Social Action Association of the Seine-et-Marne department (ADSEA 77).

She had been placed

“following difficulties within the family”

On the run since February 23, she found refuge with one of her friends, in an apartment in Fontainebleau.

Under pressure from investigators, the two suspects confessed to having consumed drugs on Friday evening.

However, everything did not go as planned.

On Sunday, Myriam seemed plunged into

“a deep sleep”

and no longer responded

“to stimuli”

, reports Arnaud Faugère who adds that the two adults decided to call for help at that time.

Around 10 p.m., firefighters discovered the young girl's inert body.
