The "spaces", which contain all the live audio broadcasts started by users on X, are updated with the possibility of launching live even with the presence of video.
The innovation is being gradually released and was identified for the first time by a user called "Dogedesigner", who used it to broadcast a few minutes of live broadcast.
When available, just click on the button at the bottom right, the "+" symbol, and then "spaces", deciding whether or not to integrate the images with the audio.
The only limitation is that only those who open the space will be able to use the front or rear camera of the phone, leaving the other participants the opportunity to intervene only with their voice.
The then Twitter introduced "spaces" in May 2021 as a response to the success of Clubhouse, an app focused on audio conversations.
As someone pointed out, X already has a feature for transmitting live videos, located in the sharing menu together with spaces and photos.
In reality, this differs slightly from the spaces given that X's live feeds also appear on the followers' message boards, which does not happen for the spaces, relegated to a separate section.
In addition, X keeps a recording of chat rooms, audio or now also video, for control purposes, prevention of abuse and other issues.
However, it is up to those who start the live broadcasts as a simple post to decide whether to record them and make them available at a later time, as simple video content.
Initially, Video Spaces will be enabled in the iOS version of the X app, and not on Android or the web.
The news arrives a few days after the launch on the social network of voice calls between subscribers, even for those who do not have a subscription plan.
