The Moosburg Greens also received praise for the professional format of part 2 of their inner city workshop.

The first ideas have already been put into practice.

Moosburg

– When the 40 participants left the Drei Tannen restaurant in mid-December after the Greens' first exchange of ideas about Moosburg city center, many were in a spirit of optimism.

At the same time, some people wondered whether the motivation would last and whether the individual expressions of intent were really followed by concrete solutions to problems.

Successful sequel

Well, a few days after part two of the workshop in the Rosenhof Restaurant, where the number of people present remained constant, it can be said: Yes, the mix of the population, Moosburg's business community, club representatives, marketing people and elected officials from four parties has not only repeatedly put our heads together respectfully and constructively, but can also show initial successes.

The FT reported on one point on Wednesday: In the future, restaurateurs will be allowed to leave their outdoor seating all year round if they request it.

Mayor Josef Dollinger promised this at a round table with innkeepers - which came about because this exchange had previously been suggested in the city center workshop.

The idea originally came from Green Party member Johannes Becher in 2021, but was not pursued further by the city.

Not only the affected innkeepers have now praised the long-awaited easing, business people are also hoping that the measure will revitalize the city center.

Another building block for a more lively center is the proposal to create new play and recreation opportunities for young and old.

Here, as agreed in the workshop, the Green city councilors Kilian Linz and Verena Beibl took the initiative.

As city gardener Michael Guyens confirms, the first steps will soon be to order a larger seesaw animal for the green area on Hospital Path and an additional seating area for the playground behind the Zehntstadel.

Guyens: “There were other ideas, so I assume that this is just the beginning.”

Pedestrian zone theme

Because the topic of pedestrian zones came up again and again during the exchange of ideas in Drei Tannen and Rosenhof, Fresh city councilor Julian Grübl is now taking care of a survey that is intended to ensure citizen participation and consideration of business interests.

The dimensions of the survey are based on the survey that was recently carried out for Moosburg train station users.

And then the group formed a thematic table for events, from which a very specific project also emerged: On Saturday, March 23rd, there will be a big Easter event in the city center; the plans are already very specific (

).

As Moosburg marketing boss Thomas David reports, his cooperative, the city, the building yard, local boss Dollinger as well as numerous business people and other volunteers are actively involved.

Praise from the expert

David, who was present at both workshops, gives the format a good rating: “The events were really highly professional, fact-oriented and goal-oriented.

The suggestions that are on the table are relevant and we can work with them now.” When it comes to the question of how to create a certain level of commitment, the city and also Marketing eG would of course have to take procedures and committees into account.

“We are ready to pick up the ball where we are responsible.

But ultimately for us it is also a question of time and resources.” The Easter campaign is now being carried out unscheduled and other topics would have to be re-examined.

Will he take part again in the next meeting of the Greens' open exchange of ideas on the city center on April 9th?

Yes, says Thomas David, “definitely”.

Big Easter campaign for Moosburg families

The initiative for this was born during an exchange of ideas: On the Saturday before Palm Sunday, March 23rd, a big Easter event will take place in Moosburg's old town from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To do this, Herrnstrasse, which is already partially closed until Easter, will be completely closed to traffic on this day - from Gries to the town square.

Not every detail has been finalized yet, but Thomas David from Moosburg Marketing eG was able to reveal a few things: Visitors can look forward to an extensive children's program.

A large Easter egg hunt is planned on Herrnstrasse, an Easter fountain in the district court garden, but they also want to organize a bouncy castle.

At the same time, there are craft activities such as painting Easter eggs, and the regionally well-known clown Toni Toss is supposed to provide entertainment as the Easter bunny.

So that no one has to go hungry or thirsty, there are also culinary offerings such as a sausage stand, popcorn sales or a Prosecco bar.
