In his opening speech to ordinary sessions in Congress, Javier Milei announced the sending of a
package of anti-caste laws
to be discussed in Parliament.
After questioning the legislators, whom he described as "rich" in a context of poverty, the President anticipated that he will send the package of laws against what he, from the campaign, calls "caste", in reference to a sector of politics.
Among other measures,
it will affect the privilege retirement system for the President
, as well as initiatives on unions and labor laws.
Furthermore, according to Milei's announcement,
"financing fiscal deficit with monetary emission
" will be considered a
"crime against humanity",
that is, imprescriptible.
One by one, the anti-caste laws that Milei announced
-Elimination of retirement privileges for the President and Vice President.
-The unions must elect their authorities through "periodic elections that limit their authorities to 4 years, checked by the Electoral Justice."
-Specific collective agreements for workers over sector agreements.
-People convicted of corruption in the second instance will not be able to run for electoral office.
-Any former official with a second-instance conviction will lose his or her benefits from having been an official.
-Reduction of advisors for deputies and senators.
-Deduct a day's salary from State employees who are not on strike.
-Eliminate public financing of political parties.
They will have to seek private financing.
-Penalize by law the President, Minister of Economy, officials of the Central Bank and deputies and senators "who vote to approve a budget that contemplates financing fiscal deficit with monetary emission."
And he added in this regard: "That said crime is against humanity, imprescriptible."
