Although dance professional Christian Polanc is not in the current season of “Let's Dance”, he is evaluating the episodes with others.

He didn't believe that one participant would take part.

Cologne – Christian Polanc (45) has turned his back on “Let's Dance” after 15 seasons and is now taking care of his dance studio and other projects.

However, he cannot live completely without the format.

He is keeping a close eye on the current season, which has been running on RTL since February 23, 2024, and comments on what is shown in his podcast.

Now he claims to have understood the reaction of one participant as disappointment.

According to Christian Polanc, a “Let's Dance” celebrity is not happy about his choice of partner

When “Let's Dance” hits the screens every Friday, ex-professional Christian Polanc is also there.

In his podcast “Let's talk about dance” he invites new guests every week and comments with his years of experience.

The first episode featured professional dancer Christina Hänni (34), who is taking a break from the current season due to her pregnancy.

The opening episode of “Let's Dance” is, as usual, the getting-to-know-you episode.

There will be a draw to see who dances with whom.

Each prominent participant is assigned an experienced professional dancer for the coming weeks.

Christian Polanc had comedian Maria Clara Groppler (24) in mind, who was awarded the television award as best newcomer in 2020.

As he said he saw from her facial expression, she was disappointed about being assigned Mikael Tartarkin (27) as a dance partner.

In his podcast he says: “I wasn’t really sure whether it would happen that way,” says Polanc about Maria and Mikael.

Visually, the two would be a good match, but Christina Hänni also felt the situation similarly: "Surprisingly, my impression was that [...] she seemed very disappointed when she was paired up."

Polanc talks about the new “Let’s Dance” dancer Mika

Tartakin, who everyone calls “Mika”, is young and is taking part in “Let's Dance” for the first time, but he is not inexperienced.

The Russian-born Frankfurt resident has been dancing since he was ten.

His first trainer in Germany was none other than “Let's Dance” juror Motsi Mabuse (42).

He dances Latin and standard in the highest class of his age group.

“Mika” also won the 2020 Hessian state championships.

It remains questionable whether the Berlin comedienne's choice of partner was ultimately to her detriment.

After all, she received the third highest score from the jury in episode one with 16 points.

Nevertheless, the two had to be the first couple to travel home: In episode two, they received the fewest calls and flew out straight away.

In his podcast, Christian Polanc revealed who he already sees as favorites for the current season.
