Activists from the “Last Generation” used the Federal Chancellery to make a “cry for help”.
The latest action by the climate stickers results in temporary arrests.
Berlin – The protests of the “Last Generation” have not stopped even two years after the road blockades began.
While the farmers' protests and the demonstrations against the right are currently the focus of media coverage, the former climate activists are now drawing attention again with an action at the Chancellery.
The activists of the “Last Generation” became known primarily through their sticking campaigns on the streets of Germany.
They repeatedly blocked traffic and sometimes had to answer for this in court.
Three activists were even sentenced to several months in prison by the Heilbronn district court.
In 2024, however, the climate gluers want to stop sticking and concentrate on new forms of protest.
You can now see this denounced at the Federal Chancellery in Berlin.
There, on the morning of March 2, 2024, several climate activists daubed the outside wall with orange paint and the words: “Help!
Your children.”
“Last Generation” smears a cry for help on the facade of the Chancellery
The “Last Generation” shares several photos of the daubed Chancellery facade on the social media platform Instagram.
They write: “Today the youngest of the 'last generation' were at the Federal Chancellery with a clear message: They are screaming for help.”
A photo shows several young people lying on the ground in front of the smeared facade.
In their hands they hold posters that read “You are killing us” or “HELP”.
“We are young, we are desperate, we are afraid and we are angry,” the activists wrote in their post.
16 preliminary arrests after the “Last Generation” climate protest at the Federal Chancellery
In the photos shared online you can also see how the Berlin police break up the protest of the former climate activists.
The young people are kept away from the facade or tried to get away from the ground.
During the protest at the Federal Chancellery, 16 people were temporarily arrested to check their identities.
According to the police, the
dpa
reports this .
The activists are between 13 and 16 years old.
The federal police have also initiated an investigation on suspicion of damage to property.
A climate protest at the Chancellery escalated last year.

On Instagram, the reactions to the recent protest in Berlin are mixed.
“Such a strong and peaceful protest” or “Thank you for your commitment.
Stay brave” can be read in the comment column.
Others, however, criticize the young age of the protesters or the graffiti.
“This is not peaceful, this is vandalism and property damage again,” commented one user.
In connection with the action at the Federal Chancellery, the climate gluers are also announcing a nationwide demonstration on March 16th.
They want to continue to fight for a future worth living for future generations.
