A refrigerator was abandoned on the Circumvesuviana tracks and a moving train hit it head-on.
It happened last night in the level crossing area of via Crapolla in Pompeii: slight damage to the convoy and above all a lot of fear on board, but fortunately no injuries were reported.
Last February 20, a bathtub was abandoned in the same spot.
"It's not about vandalism or pranks but about criminals, saboteurs, terrorists. I hope that the police catch them and throw them in jail", commented the president of the Volturno Autonomous Body, Umberto De Gregorio.
According to what has emerged so far, the driver only noticed the refrigerator abandoned along the route at the last moment but, despite trying to brake, he was unable to avoid the impact, which was still light.
The president of the Volturno Autonomous Body, Umberto De Gregorio, denounces the incident, highlighting on his social media profiles how "after the bathtub and the New Jersey, now it was the turn of a refrigerator. Always in the same point, level crossing in via Crapolla".
The company, according to what De Gregorio says, has decided to take action: "From today we will place a permanent security guard and we are installing the cameras positioned at the point".
