"Italy shares many of the objectives discussed in the Forum. Gas is a low-emission energy carrier which, we are convinced, will continue to play a leading role in the coming decades in guaranteeing energy security and stability on the markets, as we advance along the transition path. This is why dialogue between producing countries and consuming countries is fundamental."
Thus the Deputy Minister for the Environment and Energy Security Vannia Gava, the only European representative present in these hours in Algiers on the occasion of the 7th Summit of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), where Italy participates as a guest of honour.
"My presence here is a unique opportunity to develop it, but also a recognition of the historic relationship of cooperation between Italy and Algeria, which is strengthening and will do so further through the Mattei Plan".
