After the Government stopped the creation of the
Madres de Plaza de Mayo University, the organization criticized the
"fascist president" Javier Milei
in a letter
and denounced that "a very minority, but active group" tries to "
confuse the community, censor politically to the Mothers
, and be left without any legitimacy with their leadership.
In the statement, signed by the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo Association, and Mar del Plata, Mendoza and Tucumán subsidiaries, they assure that the "self-proclaimed 'Management Team'" conspired against the organization "by meeting with national officials from the university policy area , which
propose to end higher education
and stop the development of the 5 new Universities created in recent months.
"They will not succeed.
Even if they ally themselves with the government that attacks and offends us, they will not pass
," the letter continues, in which they warn about an official attempt to exploit an alleged internal fissure.
"We want to tell you to be calm, not to be confused, that nothing the self-proclaimed 'Management Team' says through computer media
improperly provided by the Ministry of (in) Justice
, is true or binding," added the organization.
In another section they treat Milei as a
"Fascist President."
"We know that these are not easy times. For the Mothers they never were. The fascist president who governs us is joined by a dispute within our University, by a very minority but active group that tries to confuse the Community, politically censor the Mothers, and be left without any legitimacy with their leadership," indicated the Mothers of Plaza de Mayo.
And he continues: "In his ambition, he has not hesitated to conspire against us by meeting with national officials in the area of university policies, who propose to end higher education and stop the development of the 5 new Universities created in recent months."
"They won't make it," warns Madres.
"Even if they ally themselves with the government that attacks and offends us, they will not pass."
Regarding this attempt to exploit an internal fissure, they clarified that it is "a political difference in the process of being overcome" and that the maneuvers seek to "force a de facto intervention by the government on it," in reference to the University of Mothers.
In that sense, they point to Cristina Caamaño as the only authorized voice, as the rector of the establishment.
Conflict over five public universities
The letter arrived three days after, through the Ministry of Human Capital, the Government
stopped the creation of five national universities
.
In addition to Madres de Plaza de Mayo, Del Delta, Pilar, Ezeiza and Río Tercero are affected.
According to what they reported, the measure seeks to "
avoid the duplication and overlapping of hierarchical structures
and to guarantee that the educational offer meets the quality and relevance due, it is necessary to adopt measures aimed at reviewing the beginning of academic activities of the Houses of Higher Studies mentioned before".
Earlier this Friday, the federal judge of Campana, Adrián González Charvay, ordered the National State to
"immediately" suspend the beginning of the review process
of the creation of the National University of Pilar.
The measure issued is not definitive, and is of a "precautionary" nature, that is, it will be valid until the requested precautionary measure is resolved.
