"The caller stated that she was contacted by her stepdaughter, who had been missing since 2017, and was currently being held against her will at a hotel in Inkster," authorities said.
Although the agents did not know exactly where it was, they suspected that it could be the Evergreen Motel located on Michigan Avenue in Inkster, according to The New York Post.

She was also reunited with her family and provided resources to recover.
A suspect was identified and investigators reported seizing drugs, cell phones and a firearm in the motel room, although they did not provide his name.
Police are still investigating to determine if it is a case of human trafficking.
"We're going to interview her to find out if a crime like human trafficking occurred or if it was a domestic violence situation or if it's something different," Shaw said.
"I don't want to use the word kidnapping as if someone had grabbed her and taken her to that place. It may have started as a relationship where she ended up being held against her will and being trafficked," she said.
A suspect has been identified, but no arrests have yet been made.
Inkster is a city on the outskirts of Detroit, with a population of approximately 25,700.
