Highlights: Steles against the proliferation of signs. Every business is free to participate in the new control system. The signs for the business guidance system are not sold, they can only be rented - for 58 euros annually. Maintenance and cleaning are included in the rental price, says Andreas Rachl, owner of the Schilder Wellmann company. For 78 euros net, interested parties can receive these boards, which they can then write on with content of their choice. The first copies are already available, for example at the town hall.

This is what the pedestrian guidance system looks like: Companies can, in a sense, rent space on it.

The municipality of Tutzing wants to end the proliferation of signs with new welcome boards and a guidance system for pedestrians.

The first copies are already available, for example at the town hall.

Tutzing

- With a visually uniform guidance system for pedestrians as well as to commercial businesses, municipal facilities and sights, but also new welcome steles at the town entrances, the municipality of Tutzing would like to eradicate the wild growth in the Schilderwald.

Andreas Rachl, owner of the Schilder Wellmann company, presented the system to members of the Environment, Energy and Transport Committee on Tuesday.

As Mayor Ludwig Horn explained, the possible locations for the steles still need to be coordinated with the responsible transport authorities.

The welcome boards greet visitors coming to the lakeside community with a “Grüß Gott in Tutzing”, and the community coat of arms is placed next to them.

In the lower part, reference is made to the twin towns of Bagnères-de-Bigorre and Balatonkenese.

The middle section is reserved for two 65 by 100 centimeter advertising boards that can be used by clubs and other local institutions to advertise their events.

For 78 euros net, interested parties can receive these boards, which they can then write on with content of their choice.

Welcome steles should be set up opposite the Würmseestadion, at the entrance to the town on Lindemannstrasse when coming from Diemendorf/Kampberg and on Klenzestrasse from the direction of Garatshausen.

Dr.

Thomas von Mitschke-Collande (CSU) suggested that the backs of the steles should also be labeled, for example with “Goodbye and safe travels”.

The mayor was happy to accept this suggestion.

This is not a problem with the steles at the stadium and on Lindemannstrasse.

This could not be implemented at the Klenzestrasse location.

But possibly at one point on Garatshausener Grund, the suggestion came from the committee.

The mayor wants to ask his counterpart in the Feldafingen town hall.

Steles of different sizes throughout the town

Illustrative objects of the commercial guidance system are already available at some locations in Tutzing.

The steles, which vary in height depending on requirements, indicate municipal facilities (blue), sights (brown), restaurants (green) and commercial businesses (anthracite) on different colored signs.

The white writing on the signs reflects light so that they can be seen even at dusk and in the dark.

The signs for the business guidance system are not sold, they can only be rented, explained Andreas Rachl - for 58 euros annually.

For this he earned the recognition of Thomas Parstorfer (CSU): “That’s a really fair price.” Rachl deliberately chose the rental system.

He wants to prevent signs from hanging unnecessarily on the steles if the associated business no longer exists or has moved.

Maintenance and cleaning are included in the rental price, says Rachl.

Every business is free to participate in the new control system; there is no obligation.

However, the members of the committee attach great importance to eliminating uncontrolled growth.

The mayor said the community can access the existing signage.

Rachl wants to take care of everything else.

“I would like to help create a proper townscape, after all, I have lived in the town for a good ten years.”
