In 2023, Roland Kaiser once again belted out his biggest hits as part of “Kaisermania”.
The pop star apparently needed help with the song lyrics.
Dresden – The fans of Roland Kaiser (71) have been looking forward to this weekend for months: “Kaisermania” took place for the 20th time on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden.
Tickets for the open-air spectacle were sold out after just a few minutes.
But those who didn't get a ticket didn't have to miss out on the hit event entirely: MDR broadcast the Saturday concert on television on August 5th - and revealed one of the musician's secrets during the course of the show.

As part of “Kaisermania”, the MDR decided to dedicate a special program to Roland Kaiser.
In addition to various documentaries and a live talk, the broadcast of the concert was of course also a must.
From 8:15 p.m. on Saturday (August 5th), viewers were able to follow the show from Dresden on the TV screens.
With hits like “I think it's starting again” and “Santa Maria”, the musician made both the local fans and the television audience sway.
Roland Kaiser sang a total of 28 songs that evening - and apparently needed some help with the lyrics. Attentive TV viewers may not have missed the fact that there was a teleprompter at the edge of the stage: several shots of the “Kaisermania” broadcast show that the lines of the Kaiser hits were playing live on the monitor.
Roland Kaiser didn't want to be a singer at all
Very few fans know that Roland Kaiser never intended to be on stage as a singer.
He always had a lot of fun singing, but for him it was just a hobby with which he could earn a few extra euros.
But eventually music publisher Thomas Meisel discovered the Berliner's talent.
The pop star has now been on stage for almost five decades: in 2024 he will celebrate his 50th stage anniversary.

This technical assistance had no influence on the mood of the fans: they celebrated Roland Kaiser frenetically - and didn't let the bad weather stop them.
